Ulster Bank savour the skills & discussion at Dairy Day 2018

From the cosy and comfortable surrounds of the Punchestown Event Center, attendees at the Irish Farmers Journal Dairy Day were spoilt for choice. The persistent and often heavy rain did not dampen the spirits of exhibitors and visitors to the myriad of stands, presentations, in-depth interviews, technological displays and insightful interactions available to all across the day. With the Beyond the Parlor Sessions, Calf Shed Talks, Skills Hub and the extensive list of exhibitors present throughout the day, Dairy Day 2018 offered a multitude of learning's for all interested and associated with the dairy sector. From labour challenges to the strength of international markets, product value add to environmental concerns, the discussion was lively, interactive, scientifically based and enthralling. Commentators offered their insights, experiences and opinions with knowledge and information available to all. With contributions from leading dairy farmers, advisors, industry representatives and government agencies, there was plenty of food for thought as we reflect on 2018 and look forward to pastures new.

Ulster Bank was delighted to exhibit at the event and meet with attendees. For many, 2018 was a challenging year with a long winter, late almost absent spring and a long prolonged summer drought. As farmers reflect on the associated costs, labour demands and key outcomes from 2018, we look forward to supporting both new and existing farm customers into the future.

As the curtain falls on Dairy Day 2018, well done to the Irish Farmers Journal and all associated with the event. We look forward to Dairy Day 2019. Stay safe.
