The President and CEO of UL - Jennifer Scanlon - directed Larry Shudak to write this devastating letter in which UL confirms they failed to test the control unit and defends their failure with misguided imagination. This failure threatens the safety and lives of millions of families in North America which use Johnson Controls equipment.

4 年Wake up industry, never compromise life safety or security. Jeff's intention is no different than the auto industry not paying attention to Ralph Nader safety concerns many years ago. Or the lock industry not acknowledging the age old vulnerability (locksmith trade secret) about bumping locks to open which was exposed through the internet and social media.

4 年Jeffrey ...it's sad...if there's no example, then it's difficult to find followers... If UL fails to accept responsibility, then where shall the industry turn to...? I hope 2c brighter days coming next year.
