UK's post-Brexit trade at risk as WTO's top court shuts down
From TODAY (ie. the same date as the UK's "Brexit" General Election), the WTO court will no longer adjudicate on trade disputes, which means countries or trade blocs who have not negotiated bilateral trade deals containing dispute resolution mechanisms will have no independent means for resolving their problems with each other.
The CBI said the shutdown of the WTO court will leave global trade “like a football match without a referee” and the UK’s lack of free trade agreements post-Brexit would leave the country’s economy vulnerable.
You really cannot make this kind of stuff up ... or can you (ie. fake news, the Russians, Remoaners, etc) - you decide!
