Ukrainian Farmers Near Completion of Harvest, Threshing 98% of Projected Areas

Ukrainian farmers have nearly completed the threshing of grain and oilseed crops for this agricultural year, reaching 98% of the planned harvest areas. A total of 72.9 million tons of new crops have been processed from an area of 19.5 million hectares. To date, the agricultural sectors have successfully threshed 53.4 million tons of various grains and close to 19.5 million tons of oilseeds.
The detailed breakdown of harvested areas includes:
Regional highlights show that Odessa, Chernihiv, and Poltava lead in gross grain production, with totals of 4.6 million tons, 4.4 million tons, and 4.2 million tons, respectively. Khmelnytskyi region boasts the highest yield at 77.5 centners per hectare, followed by Chernihiv at 69.8 and Ternopil at 68.2.
Additionally, sugar beet harvesting is nearing completion, covering 97% of the planned area, with 251.2 thousand hectares processed and 12 million tons collected.
