UKIHCA Practitioner Membership
UK & International Health Coaching Association
Health & Wellness Coaching | Professionalism, Community and Enterprise
We are introducing a new Practitioner Membership that recognises progressive stages of development towards achieving our standards for UKIHCA Full Membership and provides a progression route towards a fully UKIHCA Registered Health Coach.
As the evidence for the power and efficacy of health coaching grows, UKIHCA is delighted to introduce a further component in its strategy to include a wider range of options towards UKIHCA Full Membership.
This approach as aligned with international standards set out by the ICF, EMCC and AfC and will fully align UKIHCA with the Personalised Care Institute’s accredited training for NHS health and wellbeing coaches, the tiers of the NHS workforce development framework for health and wellbeing coaches.
In addition, we are designing our approach to recognise all training pathways towards high quality health coach roles in the NHS, physical activity sector, workplaces, education and wherever health coaching is deployed.
Following release of the UKIHCA White Paper ‘Towards a Healthier, Happier Britain: The Case for Health Coaching (Nov 2023), where we set out a raft of strong, evidence-based recommendations for why and how health coaching can be deployed in every sector with an interest in improving our population’s health, 2024 saw us launch:
