The UK and Seychelles mark the successful conclusion of their policing partnership program.

The British High Commission in Seychelles recently hosted an event to mark the successful completion of a three-year policing partnership programme between the Seychelles Police Force and the British Government. Held at the Eden Bleu Hotel, the event was attended by key figures, including President Wavel Ramkalawan, British High Commissioner Jeff Glekin, Speaker of the National Assembly Roger Mancienne, cabinet ministers, and members of the diplomatic community. This programme, which began in 2021, focused on modernizing the Seychelles Police Force through extensive training, knowledge exchange, and capacity-building efforts.During the three-year partnership, over 45 visits were made by senior members of the Police Service of Northern Ireland. These visits included experts such as Former Chief Constable Sir George Hamilton QPM, Former Head of Counter Corruption Philip Knox, and Former Detective Chief Superintendent Raymond Murray QPM. The collaboration facilitated knowledge-sharing and provided invaluable insights into effective policing strategies, helping the Seychelles Police Force strengthen its operations. The event at Eden Bleu marked the culmination of this significant initiative, reinforcing the lasting impact of the partnership on both nations' law enforcement capabilities.
