The week-long celebration is a chance for individuals and businesses to come together and bring positivity to the charity sector?
After a gruelling 18 months for charities, now is the perfect time for us all to raise money and awareness of all the fantastic charities and their continued hard work through the tough times.?
UK Charity Week is split into five fun, daily themes: Celebration of Charity; Give 5 Day; the Charity Big Bake; Volunteers’ Day; and UKCW’s Christmas Jumper Day. The idea is to have fun while shining a spotlight on superstars who go above and beyond.
Lee Rayment is the founder of UK Charity Week and the executive editor of Charity Today: “It is vital for all of us to get together, even if it is digitally, to look back and celebrate the incredible work that charities have been doing during the most difficult of times”.?
Lee also acknowledges the unpredictability of in-person events in 2022, with virtual events likely to make a comeback. As Lee states, “the campaign thrives on social media”. So, online presence is key for the campaign’s success, regardless.?
Additionally, Joanna Duyvenvoorde, the director of Sinclair Method UK says how she and her team are “thrilled to be sponsoring UK Charity Week this year. Both 2020 and 2021 have been difficult for many charities, and it is only fitting that we do everything we can to help them”.?
As people who thrive on making an impact, we think this is a fantastic opportunity to showcase all the inspirational people and organisations out there. So, be sure to follow #UKCharityWeek to keep up to date and get involved.
