New 2023 recycling targets have been released by UK government for packaging producers?(yes they are the same as 2022!)

In addition to the waste duty of care rules, if your business is classed as an obligated packaging producer (i.e. your business or organisation produces or uses packaging, or sells packaged goods) you will have a responsibility to reduce the amount of packaging produced, how much of it goes to landfill and increase recycling.

Every year a packaging producer must:?register as a packaging producer by 7 April?meet their recycling obligation and obtain evidence of compliance?submit a certificate of compliance by 31 January the following year.
