Ujjwala Divas Celebrations - 20.04.2018
Indian Oil's Distributor, M/s. Sunil Gas Agency, District Botad organized LPG Panchayat at Shree Kashtbhanjan Dev Hanuman Temple Auditorium at Salangpur, District Botad on 20.04.2018.
A gathering of around 350 was there. In line with the agenda, the gathering was explained about the benefits of LPG over traditional fuels, its safe usage, the rationale behind launch of PMUY, etc. A short film on safe usage of LPG was also shown.
The event was chaired by Shri Saurabh Patel, Cabinet Minister - Energy, Government of Gujarat. In his detailed address, the Hon. Minister stressed on his governments will to make Gujarat "Smoke Free", i.e. all families should have either a LPG or a PNG connection. The minister also congratulated IOC and its team for carrying out such activity at the grass root level.
Sender as the District Nodal Officer for Botad explained the benefits of the scheme and also exhorted the gathering to inform their neighbours/ relatives etc to switch to a cleaner fuel.
A few women beneficiaries who have been using LPG for last year or so also shared the positive changes brought by it and requested everyone to avail of this opportunity.
On this occasion, new connections were issued to 120 beneficiaries.
