UI/UX Process for AR/VR in Metaverse

Since Facebook became a Meta and its intention to build a Metaverse was announced, many companies have decided to build their platforms so that users can live this experience in the not too distant future.

It is worth remembering that the Metaverse has already begun a long time ago, there are companies that work with this new digital universe long before Facebook (Meta) announced the intentions for this experience.

Important to say that the construction of this Metaverse has no mere playful intentions, but the complete immersion of users as a new platform where they can participate in events, perform tasks, buy, sell, play, learn, etc. and where, strategically there will be new advertising monopolies.

And it is there that when we talk about experience is that UX (User Experience) appears. For many years this profession has evolved along with the rapid advancement of technology, applying the new platforms that are appearing: Desktop, Mobile, Video Games, etc.

The Metaverse is a not distant future and with it UX / UI have a great participation in the development processes with VR / AR.

It is important to understand that when we work on UX / UI processes for VR / AR we abandon flat designs to build UIs designed in 360. UX Designers will require a shift in their mindset, skills and methods to design experiences that are a portal into another world.

Storytelling, multidisciplinary work and 3D design will be great participants as tools for the processes where UX work.

The whole world is our canvas.
