Product UI Designer / Developer

Remote UK based only

Due to growth and an upgrade in Product, our client has a brand-new opening for a Digital Product Designer with Development skills to join a cross functional talented team, on a fully remote permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have been working as a hybrid Designer / Developer therefore will be experienced in UI Design and be able to code their own designs before passing over to the development team. Any UX Knowledge would be a bonus !

We are looking for a passionate Designer who can produce beautiful interface designs as well as keeping the user in mind throughout the whole design process who can also bring their designs to life by writing high quality maintainable code.

Responsibilities:

To work and collaborate well with a cross functional team to design and build high end, engaging and functional UI components

To create and build a design system from scratch

To take the lead in making front architecture decisions for current and new products

To play a key role in improving the current products at the front end

To be able to design for responsive web, accessibility and browser testing.

To always keep the user experience in mind

Qualifications and Experience:

Design related degree

Additional front end development experience or qualifications with Html/Sccs/Javascript

Experience with React or Vue 

UI Design experience

Previous experience of working with custom design systems and frameworks

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Proven experience of working to deadlines

Able to present to internal teams and stakeholders, external teams

Experience of leading projects

Team player

Keen to add value and ideas

Strong portfolio showing both UI Design and development
