UGA is selling the President's House. The university listed its historic mansion on Prince Avenue in Athens for about $5.1 million. Bonneau Ansley III and Holly Purcell of Ansley Real Estate Christie's International are the listing agents.
For decades, the house has served as the official residence for the university's presidents. Seven UGA presidents have lived in the house over the past 70-plus years. It's listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Read my story for more details on the listing and photos of the house , which was constructed in the 1850s.

Rachel Cohen-Noebes reports that Layne’s Chicken Fingers will open its first Georgia location in Roswell this October . That will be followed by an additional 17 locations in metro Atlanta.
Started in 1994 by Mike Layne, the chain's original location in College Station, Texas, is still open. Layne's is known for fried chicken fingers in original and spicy flavors, sandwiches served on Texas toast, and a variety of sauces. The local franchisees told Rachel the chain will stand out from a crowded fried chicken market in Georgia .
