Udaan-without a CEO

Udaan, started by former Flipkart trio Amod Malviya, Vaibhav Gupta, and Sujeet Kumar in 2016, with its unique B2B model, is the fastest growing unicorn in India. It is connecting manufacturers, traders, suppliers, wholesalers to retailors by online commerce.

Udaan perhaps is the only one of its kind which does not have a CEO. And founders say, it is more a matter of choice than by chance. Co-founder Vaibhav says, "It’s definitely by choice. Because we believe if things are working, then we should not unnecessarily be changing it."

Udaan shows strong financials with the latest valuation is reported to be $2.7 B. It's latest funding round (series D) in October 2019 was reported to be $585 m. In total, Udaan has raised $870 m.
