UCP Africa presents ScanIT at the African Exploration Showcase

During the African Exploration Showcase hosted by the GSSA at Emperors Convention Centre, we had the honor of presenting our unique innovative digital logging software, ScanIT and ScanIT Photo’s solutions. For those who couldn't attend, here's a breakdown of the insightful session.

Our principal geologist, Rugen Pillaye, led the discussion on ScanIT and its futuristic offering. He detailed how ScanIT's user-friendly interface and robust features are designed to streamline digital core logging, making the process more efficient with superior technical rigor, such as automated dip calculations and automated depth referencing.

It allows geologists to digitally log boreholes using high-resolution, undistorted images, ensuring precise and accurate data collection. ScanIT features include depth referencing, structural logging and integration with other systems for streamlined workflows. The software also provides detailed reports and visual representations, making it easier for geologists to analyze and make informed decisions.

The ScanIT system Architecture gives the client flexibility while simultaneously enabling secure and effortless data flow as illustrated below. ScanIT Vault can be connected to your database via an API allowing for seamless and secure upload and download of data while keeping your valuable ScanIT projects and geological data secure. Limited capabilities is achieved by direct storage to the sites server or via an API to the sites database.

Comprehensive output of data in excel spreadsheets, as detailed below, can imported into geological databases via .csv format.
