UCC Leading New Dairy Centre of Vocational Excellence in Ireland
UCC is a proud partner and national lead in this €4 M project funded by the Erasmus+ European programme to develop a major new Centre of Vocational Excellence to meet the training and development needs of the Dairy Sector. The project is aimed to tackle the national skills shortage in the dairy sector through innovative training methods, collaborative industry–research–training initiatives, and programmes to develop existing staff, and attract future generations of dairy professionals into the dairy industry. Working collaboratively with our many partners across Ireland and the 9 national CoVE's across Europe, in UCC, the project is led by a core member of the international project leadership team, Dr Joanne Uí Chrualaoich, with Prof Alan Kelly leading the Dairy Academy and I will lead the transnational Dairy Learning and Innovation Hub.
