UBUNTU- HUMANITY - HARD TRUTHS

I am so proud to be #black!

I feel so rich and blessed because I am #black!

I want other #blackwomen #blackmen #blackchildren to be sooo proud to be black too!! As a #black #woman #CEO I have like so many like me faced many ups and downs but I have never given up and am not about to start.Almost every #opportunity has been a big battle, one I was never ready to lose. I put in the hard work to get results I wanted and I learned in hard ways that not everyone was there to support you. I made sooo many mistakes, like so many but each time I fell I got up! Like so many black like me it has meant you work tirelessly, zillion times over before you even get that bit of recognition for what you bring to the world. Many have asked me how i feel about the current situation…. There are some hard truths ……..

I feel so rich and blessed I have the most wonderful, kind #white and #black friends, #businesspartners, #mentors, ex co-workers in #banking, #government #education #investment and so many others around this beautiful world. So many have become more like my #sisters, #brothers forming my global #family helping me grow! Many of you are here on this very platform  as part of my virtual family. We are currently divided by a health crisis and we now face a racial crisis! Many of you, black, white, green, yellow, whatever colour i didnt see it  have reached out to see if am OK and vice versa. I told many of you some days am not OK and you understood and helped me become OK! I miss you all and love you all! This is what #humanity is about!

Thank you to those that have supported this #blackwoman! There are many of you!

Where I come from we believe in #Ubuntu = I am because we are!!!! Together we will win, divided we fall!!! Here even though a playful #Africangirl inspired #photoshoot at the #AfricaLondonFashionShow... I feel like a #queen full of #strength, #power and #intelligence. Yes am absolutely proud to be a #blackwoman. I won't let nothing, absolutely nothing make me feel any less!!! I hope all other #blackwomen and every single little #blackgirl in the world feels the same ??????…..I call on all others to support, love and help OTHERS like me grow! We are one. We are all people, I should not have to run zillion marathons before you recognise my work or my worth. I invested in myself and my team because many times I knew no one else would. I leave you to judge the results.

Many times I was told no and deep inside me sometimes I knew that it was because I didn't fit because I was a #blackwoman. This is a hard truth and when i complained i was labeled the angry black woman.But I am naturally stubborn and I never never gave up. I was and still remain determined to create my wealth and share that with the world. I am doing that right now- wealth comes in different forms. So i call on all to act :

- get more black people in NOT token positions but leadership, decision making and senior board positions!get rid of those closed  recruitment processes and open your eyes to talent.

-my current loved #Tech #Blockchain industry hear me! Tech giants- it is  time you open doors for the many (yes I know many!) talented #black people who can fill your spots like today!! If you cant find them we will help you find them. Many global tech firms have either 1 or no black people at all on their executive leadership team yet you serve the black population with your products and services. But the issue is not just with tech giants!

- more black people are needed in decision making positions at the top in government, financing institutions, multilateral organisations, film, media, sports etc…

If these positions are not available i say to people create your own jobs, there are now many tools to help you do just that. Invest in your education, learn new skills , create your wealth but never never forget to give back.

I have travelled every region of the world, made lifelong friends from different backgrounds who have welcomed, hosted me with open arms and given me love from #Asia #USA #Africa #Europe to #MiddleEast! They did not care that I was #black.

We are in this #world for us all to thrive side by side, #love each other, support one another, offer those jobs fairly, pay right, recognise and empower others - colour should be invisible. Racism , systemic or not has no place in this world. #BlackLivesMatter

If others fail you, believe in you, invest in you, create your #wealth, share this with others and recognise the power you have in #UnitingHumanity for a #Peaceful #Respectul #harmonious, #sustainable and #Resilient world that is open for all regardless of where you come from.

I hope this helps to make someone out there feel OK today, tomorrow and always. We are one! #Ubuntu. With love M.
