Streaming services dominated at this year’s Emmy nominations, with 162 total and Netflix earning 91 nods — second only to HBO’s 110. HBO has led the pack for a whopping 17 consecutive years, but that lead is narrowing: Netflix nearly doubled its nominations this year, shrinking the nomination gap between the two networks from 92 to 19. A new Wall Street analysis also pegs Netflix's content slate as being worth $11 billion — vs HBO owner Time Warner's $10 billion. #EmmyStreamingNominations

More people could be exempt from President Trump’s travel ban, after a federal judge in Hawaii ruled that the administration too narrowly interpreted instructions from the Supreme Court. SCOTUS said the ban couldn’t be enforced against those “who have a credible claim of a bona fide relationship;” by the White House’s terms, grandparents, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, and several other familial relationships are left out of those exemptions. District Judge Derrick Watson’s decision, which applies nationwide, “could cause further confusion among U.S. customs officials at points of entry.” The Supreme Court will hear arguments on the ban in its session beginning in October. #TravelBanExemptions

Rival fantasy sports sites DraftKings and FanDuel have terminated merger plans in the wake of opposition from federal antitrust regulators. In a lawsuit last month, the FTC claimed the two companies, each previously valued at over $1 billion, would control more than 90% of the US fantasy sports market. The industry itself appears to have lost steam since its heyday in 2015, when both companies dominated advertising airwaves; Eilers & Krejcik Gaming lowered projections for fantasy sports revenue growth from roughly $800 million by 2020 to $500 million, due to state regulations and user burnout. #DraftKingsFanDuelMerger

Goldman Sachs’s latest effort to attract talent? Ditching the tie. The bank is relaxing its dress code for engineers, Reuters reports, as Wall Street competes with Silicon Valley firms for tech talent. Employees are encouraged to “exercise judgment” in determining when to button up, according to a memo to the company’s tech division — but “it did not specify whether hoodies or sneakers, the ad-hoc uniform of millennial tech workers, constitute acceptable dress.” #GoldmanSachsDressCode

Uber’s on the hunt for its next CEO. Who will lead the company through its recent scandals and lawsuit with Waymo — while prepping the ride-hailing giant for an IPO? According to The New York Times, the latest slate of candidates includes, among others, ex-Yahoo chief Marissa Mayer, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki, former Virgin America CEO David Cush, former Disney COO Thomas Staggs, and ex-Twitter COO Adam Bain. Others, like the former Google sales executive Nikesh Arora, are angling for the position. #UberNewCEO

We're in a new era, says Beth Comstock, and that means new ways of working — and leading. Here's what Emergent Leadership means to the GE vice chair:

Instead of commanding, it means coaching. Instead of minutely defined plans, it means being open to improvisation. And instead of annual performance reviews or big presentations, it means tapping into a continuous stream of feedback.
