Real-time Surgery Simulator for heart surgeons repairing cardiac valve leakage with Machine Learning on a multi-cloud Azure, Google, SUSE, UberCloud Platform
This real-time surgery simulator for customer 3DT Holdings has been implemented on top of UberCloud’s multi-cloud architecture on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with management, monitoring, and health-checks on Azure Cloud performed through SUSE’s Kubernetes management platform Rancher. for their highly complex Living Heart Project and Machine Learning, 3DT Holdings was able to reduce simulation times from hours per simulation to just a few seconds highly accurate prediction of an optimal medical device placement during heart surgery. The team ran 3,000 simulations needed to train the ML algorithm. This project has been presented at the Supercomputing Frontiers Europe Conference in July 2021.

Accelerating Rimac’s R&D Pipeline with UberCloud/ Azure to Design and Deliver Electric Hypercars
UberCloud case study #220 is about Rimac developing electric hypercars, powertrains, and batteries. In early 2021, Rimac approached UberCloud to perform an extensive Proof of Concept with the goal of discarding their aging on-premise HPC cluster and moving engineering simulation workloads to the Cloud. Rimac and UberCloud implemented some of the engineering simulations on Microsoft Azure, designing and configuring their Azure cloud environment for running ANSYS and other CAE software, benchmark applications, analyze Total Cost of Ownership for cloud vs on-premise, and understand engineering simulation usage of Cloud HPC resources and related workflows.?
Buro Happold creates sustainable environments with UberCloud and Azure HPC fueled by Intel
When world-class global engineering practice Buro Happold needs to create the most complex models to ensure safety, sustainability, and performance for its stunning buildings, it turns to UberCloud and Microsoft Azure high-performance computing (HPC) using Intel? Xeon? processors. Designing unique spaces in challenging sites takes extraordinary amounts of computing power. Buro Happold keeps costs low and performance high with Azure for HPC via the UberCloud Engineering Simulation Platform. It’s a win for customers and those who love cutting-edge architecture.
