Uber Overcharging?!

I love supporting technological advancement, new businesses and innovative ways to conduct old business.

However, #Uber is starting to get under my skin. I always check the 'estimate' feed and compare it to the final charge. Uber ALWAYS charges me more than the estimate but at least $4.00 and I've been overcharge by about $12.00.

#uber ... why is this. Why can you not give me a 'quote' for the ride. The distance is clear - it comes up in your app. You know what the traffic conditions are - they're available in Google Maps which you already use.

I'm sick of being over charged / ripped off.

Can anyone explain this to me?

Try ONTAP. The more people who change over the more pressure it puts on Uber to stay honest to their quote.

This is what happens when you influence the deregulation of an industry and government doesn't get it right. You can't be half pregnant but apparently you can have different rules, including how they set prices, for taxis and uber even though they are providing the same service. Sorry Derrick just the consequences of policy on the run which is all too common these days ... and we foot the bill.
