Uber Eats Vs DoorDash: Which Is Better For Delivery Drivers In 2022?
Delivery boomed again in 2021, driven by demand from at-home workers and, well, pretty much everyone at some point! For drivers who are interested in switching from rideshare to delivery, which delivery platform between the two most popular, Uber Eats and DoorDash, is better? Drivers chimed in to share their thoughts.?
Here’s what readers are saying:
While a few people argued DoorDash was the better option, the overall agreement was Uber Eats is superior from the driver's perspective. Viewer Lonnie shares why he prefers Uber over DoorDash:
“I have driven for both in my opinion I would have to say going with Uber would be my choice! There are several reasons I say this:

After reading the article, several drivers noted they’re also seeing a January (or perhaps pandemic-caused) slowdown and confirmed that the bonuses and incentives Uber still offers are key to making any driving worth it for them:
“I feel you showed how using the Uber incentives, such as Quests and Consecutive Ride Bonuses, pays off. 25 hours is certainly 50 rides, even on slow days, which could be $100 bonus. Of course, in a normal world, those Quest bonuses would be much higher, but we're not talking about that here. One could argue working odd times of day such as 2 to 4 am could yield even bigger Consecutive Ride Bonuses, depending on your area.”

While Uber Eats may be delivery drivers’ preferred app, DoorDash is no slouch in earnings!
Here’s what readers are saying:
Drivers agree that the January rideshare slowdown is real, which is true even in non-pandemic years. As this driver shares, he switched because of the slowdown:
“I signed up for DoorDash right now because Uber is DEAD! No one is taking rides because of these Covid surges. I took action as I don’t see Uber passenger deliveries improving until the spring. DoorDash, looking forward to doing it.”
