Esteemed colleagues and dear friends.?

Today is a time for celebration. Today we congratulate our newly promoted Associate and Full Professors. These colleagues have all reached a significant milestone in their academic careers.

Promotion in academic rank is no small achievement. It follows a period of significant effort, tenacity, and resolute productivity. It marks your dedication to your scholarship, your skill in educating your students, and your commitment to serving this institution and our society.

a)?? Your promotion comes as recognition of the high esteem attributed to your scholarship by the international network of your disciplinary peers.

b)?? Your promotion comes as recognition of the rich qualities of your teaching and curriculum development.

c)?? Your promotion also comes as recognition for your professionality and service.

This milestone in your careers is also a landmark for UAEU.

Your distinction demonstrates UAEU’s progress as the University of the Future. Your achievements have helped fulfil our mission and our goals. You have ensured UAEU serves our nation’s strategic vision and priorities, and you have developed our reputation within the country, the region, and the world.

This moment is the start of a new beginning. It comes with new opportunities and new responsibilities. We know that:

a)?? Professors are mentors, guiding the next generation of scholars. They are researchers, pushing the boundaries of knowledge and contributing to the global body of wisdom.

b)?? Professors are guardians of academic ethics and high standards, setting examples for their colleagues and students to follow.

c)?? Professors initiate and offer foresight and direction. They are innovators, shaping the future of their disciplines.

You, our newly promoted Associate and Full Professors, embody these qualities, and you are now role models for them.

We welcome you as leaders in the institution and we wish you fortitude as you take up the formidable responsibilities that lie before you.
