UAE residents renting properties will soon have the option to make their rent payments digitally. Keyper, a real estate app, and Direct Debit, a marketplace regulated by the central bank, are joining forces to introduce the nation's inaugural digital rental payment platform, Keyper.
This innovative system will incorporate Keyper's Rent Now Pay Later feature, enabling tenants to conveniently make their monthly payments digitally while ensuring landlords receive upfront payments.
The platform aims to replace the conventional cheque method, which currently obliges 95% of tenants to pay using written cheques. Direct Debit's technology will automate rent deductions from tenants' bank accounts based on predetermined conditions.
