UAE Launches One-Touch Golden Visa Service to Simplify Application Process
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced a new service that will make it easier for foreign nationals to obtain a Golden Residency Visa. The One Touch Golden Visa service, launched by the Federal Authority for Identity, Nationality, Customs, and Port Security, will assist applicants with their visa applications, issuance of other visas, regularisation of status, and the issuance of residency and identity – all in one step.
To apply for the Golden Visa, residents who meet the specified requirements can complete their application with just the push of a button on the ICP website or the UAEICP smart application. The Golden Visa allows foreign talents to live, work, or study in the UAE, with exclusive benefits such as the ability to sponsor their family members, including spouses and children, and the privilege of not needing a sponsor.
Moreover, the Golden Visa also allows holders to stay outside the UAE for more than six months to keep their residence visa valid, making it easier for those who travel frequently. The minimum monthly salary required to obtain the Golden Visa has recently been reduced from Dh50,000 to Dh30,000, making more skilled professionals eligible for long-term residency. Suitable disciplines include medicine, sciences and engineering, information technology, business and administration, education, law, culture, and social sciences.
