UAE-India industrial deal identifies AM and other key areas to work together

The UAE and India will cooperate in seven vital areas to achieve sustainable industrial development, besides focusing on facilitating industrial investments, technology transfer and deploying key technologies in industries.

The seven key areas are supply chain resilience, renewable energy and energy efficiency, health and life sciences, space systems, AI, Industry 4.0 and advanced technologies, as well as standardisation and metrology.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. It was signed by Dr. Sultan Al Jaber , UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Piyush Goyal , India’s Minister of Commerce and Industry.

Immensa Invests $6 Million to Enhance AI-Powered Additive Manufacturing in Energy Supply Chains

Immensa , has announced an investment of over $6 million in DIS-RT (Digital Inventory Solution Real Time), its AI-enabled software, aimed at transforming the energy supply chains of major oil and gas producers in the region.

The software presents an end-to-end solution crafted to assess and digitize inventories, enabling companies to tap into the potent capacities of digital supply chains by employing additive manufacturing and other on-demand production methods. In light of this new investment, Immensa plans to amplify DIS-RT’s capabilities, incorporating machine learning into its fundamental functionalities.

Dubai launches world’s first 3D printing certification system for construction industry

Dubai Municipality has launched the world’s first system for Certification and conformity marks in the field of 3D printing in the construction industry, which will serve as a proactive measure to streamline procedures and improve the quality of concrete mixes used in factories licensed and operating in Dubai.

The step plays a pivotal role in advancing Dubai’s leading position as the world’s first city to adopt a conformity marking strategy for 3D printers used for construction and regulate this cutting-edge and sustainable construction technology.

Dawoud Al Hajri , Director-General of Dubai Municipality, said, “The certification and conformity mark system for factories and entities operating in the field of 3D printing for construction has been comprehensively established in alignment with Dubai Municipality’s proactive vision. This system embraces international best practices to provide exceptional services to both individuals and the community, thereby enhancing Dubai’s global reputation and aligning with Dubai Municipality’s strategic objectives outlined in Dubai’s 2030 Plan.

Qatar sets Guiness Book World Record for tallest free-standing 3D printed concrete tower

Qatar News Agecy (QNA) Published that the pavilion of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) TASMU SMART QATAR entered the Guinness World Records Book, by recording the longest independent concrete structure built using 3D printing technology.

On this occasion, HE Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohammed bin Ali bin Mohammed Al Mannai stated that "the Guinness World Record is not only a symbol of innovation and achievement, but also a testimony to the State of Qatars commitment to transcending all boundaries in the field of technology, promoting fruitful cooperation, and providing innovations that improve peoples lives, as MCIT pavilion is tangible evidence of the technological progress witnessed by the State of Qatar, where traditional values are in harmony with advanced technology to meet global challenges, noting that this serves as an of inspiration for all humanity".
