Tyranny of Execptionalism
Why being exceptional is bad?
It's a myth or fantasy that we are all exceptional and extraordinary in our lives. "If everyone were extraordinary, then no one would be extraordinary".
I can understand that some may say or argue that "I can have a feeling, that I am exceptional. This gives me confidence and makes me achieve." They may also feel that"You are jealous of my successes".
But the truth which is bitter and sour that they are living in a delusion and high by their own lies.
The problem
By over-confidence and fake entitlement, people are losing to see the shortcomings and negative effects of their actions. They feel the feedback is a jealous statement.
We all people are good at many things and excel at a few things. This fake entitlement of "I am better at this", "I know more than anyone", "My problem is unique", and "No one can solve my problem", boost our ego rather than helping us to be achieving something worthwhile.
Then what's the point?
Think in reverse, instead of self-entitlement or longing for entitlement just accept "I am not good at this".
What happens by accepting our reality?
We can have an opportunity think on a thing where we can improve and improveand become truly extrodinary.
What is your thought on this? Please feel free to comment.
