A “Typical” Day at Duke
I like to tell people we’re living the best years of our lives at Duke, and these are a few small reasons why, using last week as an example.
Morning was an early 6am visit to the Duke Boathouse, for de-rigging the boats from Philadelphia.
Afterwards was breakfast on one of America’s most beautiful campuses and my workout. Then came my class on quantum engineering for the trapped atomic ion quantum computers of tomorrow.
Studying followed with Richard M. Nixon in the law library.
After a coffee social (top image), and relaxing before a football game, I sat at a Steinway & Sons piano. I asked a random Duke student passing by if he knew how to play, and he did without hesitation.
Then the night was a football game with Wake Forest. Duke won.
Be thankful for everything and especially everyone you have in your life, for these are the things more precious than I’ve ever known.
GO DUKE!
