1-????? Butt Welds
This type of weld joins two pieces of material end-to-end. Commonly used in piping and structural applications where two components need to be aligned perfectly. Provides strong, clean joints and is often used in high-pressure applications.
2-????? Fillet Welds
A weld that joins two surfaces at a right angle (or an acute angle) and is typically triangular in cross-section. Used in corner, edge, and T-joints, often in structural steelwork. Easier to apply than butt welds and can accommodate misalignments.
3-????? Seal Welds
These welds are used to create a watertight or airtight seal. Often found in tanks, piping systems, and other applications where leakage must be prevented. Generally not intended for structural strength but focuses on sealing properties.
4-????? Branch Welds
Welds that connect a branch pipe to a main pipe or structure. Commonly used in piping systems to allow for multiple flow paths. Can involve complex joint designs and require careful preparation to ensure strength and integrity.
