Types of Project Managers

There are two types of Project Managers

Type 1: Always has a project charter. Knows all the formulas from Bookwrights lengthy, detailed meeting notes. Expects things to get done simply because they documented action items has complex explanations for project delays. Escalates issues quickly.

Type 2: Understands the business and its needs. Navigates power dynamics effectively. Invests time in building relationships. Works to make life easier for their team. May does not rely on fancy formulas. Focuses on getting things done. Delivers projects smoothly without damaging relationships.

PM 1 might look impressive.

PM 2 delivers results without the drama.
