?Clouds applications can be broadly classified into four types
Public Cloud –An application that is deployed on any one of the public Clouds such as AWS, Azure, Google etc.
Multi Cloud – An application that is deployed on more than one public cloud to take the advantage of cloud provider specific resiliency
Private Cloud –An application that runs on your business premises and supports all the cloud characteristics. The examples of these are AWS Outposts, Azure Stack, Google Anthos.
In my opinion, the on-premises infrastructure running on the virtual stack can’t be classified as Private Cloud as it doesn’t meet the cloud characteristics
Hybrid Cloud – An application that makes use of both the private cloud and the public cloud is said to be Hybrid cloud application
The term Hybrid environment is used to refer to an application that uses any of the public clouds and the on-premise infrastructure
