These Type Of Entrepreneurs Will Change The World As We Know It

When the entire world is flowing in one direction, it can be terrifying to start swimming the other way.

It takes more effort, and you need to be prepared for confused looks from everyone simply going with the flow.

However, as you prove again and again how much more successful and fulfilling a life upstream can be, eventually you’ll start to turn the tide.?

This rings true in the business world as well.

Operating within your spiritual values might raise some questions from your secular (meaning non-spiritual or faith-driven) counterparts, but ultimately it will lead to more success.

As more and more spiritual entrepreneurs flood into the marketplace, we will one day be able to shift the entire industry to a higher level of consciousness.

Let’s take a look at the benefits of spiritual entrepreneurship and why they far outweigh the ease of floating along with the rest.?

Going With The Flow

To fully comprehend what spiritual entrepreneurship can bring to your company, we must first look at the consequences of staying in the secular mode.

Being solely wrapped up in maximizing profit can lead to a narrow focus on short-term gains at the expense of long-term sustainability.

In the same way that the fruits of the spirit are positive, the fruits of secular entrepreneurship are vast and devastating.

A fraction of the issues that can arise from being profit-driven instead of impact-driven are:

  • Exploitation of workers?
  • Increased inequity?
  • Decline of small business
  • Monopolization of industries
  • Decreased job security and satisfaction
  • Negative impact on mental and physical health
  • Decreased support for the arts and culture
  • Decreased consumer protection, privacy and choice?
  • Negative impact on education, health care, and housing?
  • Negative impact on the environment
  • Decreased human right, peace, and stability
  • Less diversity?
  • Decline of public morals?

Looking at this monumental list of risks associated with secular entrepreneurship, it’s easy to draw parallels to the current state of our world.

We know in our heart of hearts that when a business is purely secular in nature and is only out for profit, it leads to a lot of the symptoms that we’re seeing now like a culture of negativity, inequality, and social and environmental harm.

Imagine a world where every entrepreneur only cared about the common good.

How would that transform every facet of our society?

The solution is not about political affiliation or more or less regulation, it’s about the way that every single business is run and the values that each entrepreneur holds.?

The New Way of Entrepreneurship

When we realize that God has given us a new role, that of a spiritual entrepreneur, we need to declare, share, and step into that role as much as we can.

There are countless benefits to keeping spirituality at the core of your business.?

Sticking To Your Values

Spirituality is an essential part of human nature that strengthens your purpose and mental power. The more in tune every part of your life is, the more power you’ll be able to tap into in the long run.?

The universe has put you on this earth for a reason, and if you can bring your business into alignment with that divine purpose, you’ll be able to reach higher and further than ever before.

By committing to your spiritual values and staying true to them, you’ll be able to create a successful business that is meaningful for both yourself and your audience.?

An Eye On The Future

It’s no secret that spirituality is becoming a bigger part of many people’s lives.

Based on Pew research, 84% of humanity believes in the existence of God or a universal spirit.

We can see it on social media, in metaphysical shops, in places of worship, and right here at my company AlterCall.

It makes sense, then, that it’s also becoming more important in business management and economics, especially entrepreneurship.?

We can see this in the way even secular businesses are starting to present themselves. A business with a mission, a vision, and values that they actually stick to is a spiritual business.

Recent studies have shown spirituality is a leading cause for entrepreneurs to start a new business.

If you reflect on the start of your entrepreneurial journey, you might align with this fact. The study of leadership goes back many thousands of years, but management itself is a relatively new concept.

It came in around the age of the industrial complex.?

To just have spirituality coming into focus for the study of management now means that it was excluded for many years. As people realize that the inclusion of spirituality actually leads to more profit in the long run, it’s making its way into the mainstream.?

A Recipe For Growth

If you are motivated by a mission through spirituality, you’re not as focused on chasing financial profits. As Dan Gilbert says, “Money doesn’t lead, it follows.”

You’ll be far more likely to reach your financial goals if they are not the only thing on your mind.?

True spiritual entrepreneurs are looking to better others, not themselves. Any business that is built on the idea of helping others will naturally grow better because of the positive momentum that it builds.

With spiritual entrepreneurship, all stakeholders, team members, and customers will experience:

  1. Increased sense of purpose
  2. Stronger sense of community
  3. Increased personal and spiritual growth
  4. Greater sense of fulfillment
  5. Opportunities for service
  6. Alignment of work with values and beliefs
  7. Ability to make a positive impact in the world
  8. Improved mental and emotional well-being
  9. Improved relationships with others
  10. Increased creativity and innovation
  11. Enhanced problem-solving skills
  12. Greater sense of balance and harmony in one's life

Bringing The Team Together

Spirituality does not only support the business owner, but all the employees and the whole firm itself. Having a driving set of values improves productivity, and increases commitment.??

As you try to attract A-plus talent in the world, their feeling of autonomy and freedom is something they will not compromise on.

It's proven that a business based in spiritual values will create a community where team members are happier and face less stress and fear.?

Most stress is based on dishonesty, whether that be with yourself or others.

Fear is based on a lack of faith. This means that spirituality teaches a way that managers and employees can cope with stressful business situations.

Leaning on faith when a challenge arises allows you to keep a level head and find solutions.?

Cultivating this community will give employees a strong sense of purpose when they come in to work, leading to loyal team members that stick around for the long term.

Finding Common Ground

The reason many people have shied away from spirituality is that they believe it is too mystical of a practice.

This can be curbed by focusing on practical spirituality and the principles of spiritual entrepreneurship.

Instead of enforcing a certain religion or focusing on the mysticism of the spiritual realm, look for the common truths and ideals to live by.

The meaning of spirituality is shifting from being connected to certain religions, to multiple subjects and beliefs.

You don’t have to connect the values you pass along to a specific religion, in fact, separating the two will have a stronger effect and allow people who would be closed off to the idea to see its value.

The values that people hold as Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, and beyond are universal values.

Values like love, peace, compassion, stillness, and mindfulness are found across faiths.

Our goal should not be to push our beliefs onto people, but to unify and align with the various people within our communities, organizations, and client bases.?This is how we effect massive change and raise the consciousness of the planet.

Changing Tides

The negative effects of secular entrepreneurship can be boiled down to short term thinking.

Even when you are new to your spiritual path, you can become so focused on God giving you the next lesson or a new role right now. It takes time to build your character and competency.?

Entrepreneurship is a vehicle to help achieve that character growth. The fact that it can also impact the marketplace and provide for your family are the bonuses that make it so amazing.?

If you ever enter a space that is connected to Wall Street, or to any business lead by analysts, banks, and venture capitalists, you’ll quickly see that there is no spirituality in the way that these companies and empires are run.

It squeezes the life out of many, many businesses and is the core driver for a lot of these negative effects in society.

So much waste is produced from single use plastics and other products. Companies will trade the environment for profit every single time.

Exploitation of workers is the same story. From poor working conditions to low wages, nothing is more important than the money they could be making.?

If you find yourself interacting with a wildly secular industry like Wall Street, know that you are in a very powerful position to affect change. The corporate world can not be changed from the outside, shifts need to happen from within.?

The number one way to start sparking an interest and changing the tide in a secular industry is to outperform your secular counterparts.

Use spiritual values like caring for your clients and putting people before profit to shine bright and succeed.?

People will be able to see that you have more excitement, enthusiasm, empathy, and care. It will give you the edge when trying to attract the right clients and the right team.?

Another important point to remember is that the more you speak about your values, the more you’ll recognize the people who align with them.

This will not only help the right people find you, but it means that you’ll be working with people who value the same things as you.?

You’re going to come up against challenges when you start fighting against the current systems. People will laugh at you, then ignore you, then criticize you.

You need to have the confidence and conviction in yourself to ensure that you can work through those challenges. The real power comes from the divine, so you need to tap into that instead of what people think.

We All Float On

It’s never easy to be a trend setter. Swimming against the current comes with its challenges, but ultimately it will have nothing but positive effects on your business, your life, and the world at large.?

The business landscape is changing, and every time you choose to use your spirituality to motivate you, you contribute to that positive shift.

Together, we can change the flow to help everyone float towards a better future.
