LAS VEGAS (Nov. 17, 2020) – Tyler Robinson Foundation (TRF), the nonprofit organization of the GRAMMY Award-winning band Imagine Dragons dedicated to supporting children battling childhood cancer, is partnering with the North Wales Dragons, an award-winning community football team devoted to advocating for people, business, community, charity and other good causes through the medium of sport and adventure to make a difference for themselves and their communities.
Since their formation, North Wales Dragons community football teams have always been supporters of cancer-related causes and have taken part in campaigns helping to raise funds and awareness.
“After meeting with TRF, we discovered so much like-mindedness within our organizations and decided that we were in a great place to #slaycancerwithdragons,” said Chris Roberts, co-founder of North Wales Dragons. “We instantly formed a partnership with the idea to create much more awareness of cancer-related issues.”
In the seven years TRF has served the pediatric cancer community, the nonprofit has provided support to more than 1,500 families around the globe and raised more than $10 million.
Of every dollar TRF raises, more than 85% goes directly to families in need. For more information or to learn more about TRF, visit TRF.org and follow TRF on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
About The North Wales Dragons.
The North Wales Dragons are a not for profit Community Football (Soccer) Teams based in the United Kingdom founded by Chris, Steven and Gareth Roberts. The team was founded in 2009 following an idea to raise money for a charity called Boots for Africa which was the charity formed by the World’s Oldest Football Club, Sheffield FC.
The teams, male and female, and aged between 16 and 65, now raise funds and create awareness for various causes throughout the year, going way beyond their original purpose and intention, and now making a big social impact in the world.
About Tyler Robinson Foundation
Tyler Robinson Foundation (TRF) helps strengthen families financially and emotionally as they cope with the tragedy of a pediatric cancer diagnosis by providing grants specifically to offset out-of-pocket life expenses. TRF is the nonprofit organization of the GRAMMY Award-winning, multi-platinum selling band Imagine Dragons. TRF meets a critical need in communities across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Each year, one in 285 children are diagnosed with cancer.
While many pediatric cancer organizations focus on growing awareness and support for families with the physical and emotional toll of a diagnosis, the huge financial hardship cancer treatment places on families is rarely discussed. More than 85% of every dollar TRF raises goes right to families in need. For more information visit TRF.org
