Building Resilience

It should come as no surprise that the COO of Facebook has many valuable lessons to offer on the art of resilience — at work and in life. “Finding gratitude and appreciation is key to resilience,” she says. “People who take the time to list things they are grateful for are happier and healthier. It turns out that counting your blessings can actually increase your blessings.”

If you’re looking to find your work meaningful, this article suggests that the best place to start looking is to yourself:

“The sense of purpose a person finds in his or her work is a deeply personal thing, something that research has suggested is independent of the job description or office perks.”
