Two Years Since the Invasion: A Message from Ukraine Friends

Dear Friends,

February 24th marks two years of the full-scale Russian invasion into Ukraine, and it has been 10 years since Putin first invaded Ukraine and annexed Crimea.

For many of us, this day has divided the world into “before” and “after” – for those who are connected to Ukraine and everyone who understands the horror of this tragedy.

Two years ago, a group of individuals in the U.S. could not stay aside from the largest humanitarian crisis since World War II. They united their efforts to found Ukraine Friends and help refugees escape the war, deliver medical aid, and have continued their efforts to support children and families with access to education.

Since then, Ukraine Friends?team has evacuated over 30,000 refugees, delivered 75,000 Individual First Aid Kits, provided over 90 ambulances, and over $100,000 of tech equipment.

As every day of the war means more and more Ukrainians losing their lives in the fight for freedom, we are focused on supporting children who have lost one or both of their parents as a result of the war.

Watch the video message from our founders Teddy Raskin and Michael Sinensky , CEO Joe Sullivan , our supporters Jami L. Cotler and Dmitry Burshteyn from Siena College about how Ukraine Friends was started, and what our current focuses are:

Please support our mission and help us help more families in Ukraine by making a donation at ukrainefriends.org.

Did the article meant to specify “largest humanitarian crisis in Europe”?
