Two-Year Work Anniversary?

Early this year it was my work anniversary, I've been at Konsileo for 2 years. To say that I'd vowed never to be an employee, ever again after years of self-employment, I'm rather enjoying myself!?

I love everything I do here and wouldn't change it for the world, the fact I have flexibility is invaluable. To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure I'd be this enthusiastic if I was having to commute and put up with traditional management. I'd like to share some reflections on my last two years…?

Flexibility?

When I mention flexibility I don't just mean working from home and setting my own hours which gives me the freedom to not miss out on the daily happenings of my young family. It's also about the flexibility of my role and what it entails, how I'm trusted to identify what to do next and how to help the organisation move in the right direction. I've been able to develop as a professional and also on a personal level, at my own pace and driven by my own steam.?

Development?

It's been an opportunity to put into practice everything I had learnt in my professional life so far and at the same time I've learnt a lot about myself and others. From collaborating remotely with people who work very differently to me, to learning to listen to others so that I can give more meaningful feedback.??

Even though we're 100% virtual I have a real sense of belonging.?

Future of Work?

We're a Teal organisation, which means that we work very differently to the vast majority of companies and we're part of the Future of Work movement. This year we’ve won 2 awards relating to our working practices:?

1) British Insurance Awards Best Insurance Employer in the SME category?

2) Modern Work Awards in the Modern Work Performer category?

How cool is that?! We're truly different and I burst with pride every time I tell people about what it's like to be part of Konsileo - I am forever excited about it!?
