Two years at Europvin....changes bring results
This week I turned two years since joining Europvin. They have been vibrant and tremendously demanding, with a multitude of new challenges that have put me to the test personally and professionally. At last, results are coming for good.
In these two years, the company has achieved a lot despite the non-business related issues coming alongside. We renewed 40% of our sales force and 50% of the financial department; increased our GM contribution; implemented a new computer system, integrating the two companies; wrote procedures for the most important positions; transformed the distribution network and changed the old way of managing employees by constant pressure, secrecy and division; designed and implemented a new vision for the mid and long term in sales, marketing and (in & out) communication ; and last but not least, optimized our product portfolio and reorganized our financial processes amid others.
And how did we do it?
· By having supportive and united shareholders,
· Partnering with suppliers / associates with a very high level of professionalism, dedication, rigorousness and “savoire faire”,
· The teams of Europvin and Golden State Wine Co., which, despite the uncertainty that certain undesirable situations coming alongside the business, have believed in their management and the project,
· Always going clear and straightforward (with proven evidences, not subjective ones) with errors and successes.
· The teamwork of all the aforementioned parties as well as not losing the unity, objectivity, patience (even if it costs) or tempering, despite facing new situations or attacks that only seek divide to destroy.
And now, we are planning the future. Great times ahead of us!! We are currently working on our exciting future for a company like ours, present in 30 countries. A company that works as a team looking for the opportunities the world's markets have to offer. A thrilling company that wants its people to grow along with it, of course, without losing feet off the ground.
These two really tough years have made us much stronger, overcoming huge difficulties, and yet, achieving many things... and many more so will be in the next 5 years.
