Two words, a world of difference…

Try repeating the following phrase “Medicare is not Medicaid” 10 times fast, pretty easy to mix them up.

Medicare is simply health insurance for those 65 and older, plus younger individuals permanently disabled.

Medicaid, However, is for those who are without income or assets, those who are impoverished, those who are less fortunate and must rely on our generous safety net, here in the USA.

Leave the tongue twisters to a professional, a Medicare Insurance Specialist, (That’s us by the way!)

So, go ahead and lend a hand to your co-workers, employees, or family who are turning 65 or maybe 70 or 80 years young, however it will be confusing to those around you if you trade off using these two very different words.

Here is the rule of thumb;

Once you hear the word “Medicare”, tell them you know a specialist, a Medicare Insurance Specialist.
