Two Ways to Improve Job Performance For Information Technology Professionals.

Below is a transcript of the video: ????

As an Information Technology professional, you might feel that you spend way too much time trying to improve your English. Even with your extra practice, your colleagues and customers still struggle to understand you. You may also lack confidence when speaking English in a meeting or a social setting. ?????♂?

You've watched countless videos, studied grammar books, and even spent money on courses promising better English in a short amount of time.

However, you're still not at the level you want to be at in your career.

The truth is that if you keep doing what you do, you're going to burn out before you ever reach the level of English proficiency you want.??

Instead of continuing to learn everything, you need to focus on what you need is a systematic approach to develop your listening and speaking skills that are specifically designed for Information Technology professionals like yourself.

Let me use an analogy to help you understand. Let's say your vitamin C level is low, and you want to fix it. Instead of taking concentrated vitamin C pills, you decide to take multivitamin tablets. You know what's going to happen next. You can take multivitamin pills every day, but your vitamin C level will not improve as much as you'd like because you are not focused on solving the problem.

It seems very straightforward, but this is exactly what has happened to your English learning journey. You have tried to learn everything about English, but really, you only need to focus on learning the English that you need to focus on what you need in a systematic approach to develop your listening and speaking skills. To improve your English so you can improve your job performance, you need to follow these 2 steps.

1. Build your sound foundation

Currently, you're likely making elementary mistakes. Because you're missing some sounds, your colleagues can't understand you. What you need to do is break the English language down into small parts (it's 44 sounds) and build it back up. When you can hear and say all of these 44 sounds, you will master how English words are supposed to sound, and your colleagues will understand you much better.

2. Build your fluency & confidence ??

You can be the smartest person in the world, but if you lack the confidence to speak up your ideas, no one will ever know. By focusing on different elements of English (word/sentence stress, pausing, and linking), you'll know what a native speaker sounds like and be able to imitate them. Having this skill will skyrocket your confidence!

Feel free to send me a message if you would like to improve your job performance by advancing your communication skills in English in the shortest amount of time!

Have a great day. ??
