Two types of recruiters: CHASERS and BUILDERS.

As a hiring manager or CEO, you may come across two distinct types of recruiters: CHASERS and BUILDERS.

CHASERS are akin to traditional hunters. They are always on the lookout for opportunities, chasing after every potential lead. Sometimes, they succeed in securing a significant deal, while other times they return empty-handed. Chasers are easily attracted by new prospects and are willing to pursue any business opportunity that comes their way. Although the thrill of the hunt can be exciting, it requires constant effort and can lead to exhaustion over time.

On the other hand, BUILDERS take a different approach. They focus on creating sustainable systems and structures, akin to the great civilizations that were built on roads, infrastructure, and aqueducts. Similarly, successful recruitment and search empires are built on the foundation of robust systems. Builders prioritize long-term results rather than immediate gains. They understand that by perfecting one hunting strategy at a time and building a system around it, they can generate consistent leads, business inquiries, and clients over time.

The key is to first hunt, then build. Builders understand the importance of inventing effective strategies and implementing them to create a reliable marketing system. This system allows them to generate new leads and clients on demand, without relying solely on time-consuming cold calls or door-to-door visits. Builders aim to establish a sustainable network that works consistently, even with a relatively small initial network.

In summary, as a hiring manager or CEO, you have the choice between working with chasers who thrive on the hunt for immediate opportunities or builders who prioritize long-term success and sustainability. Consider your goals and preferences when selecting a recruitment partner who aligns with your desired approach to achieve consistent and lasting results.
