Two Types of People
I'm going to paint you with a broad brush, whether you like it or not. You see, in my decade of doing real estate, I've discovered that people fall into two broad categories, and you do, too. I'm sure of it.
How is it that I dare label you, sticking you into some box, you ask? It's because I know you, even though you think you're different.
What are these two categories? Well, it's simple, and the data is foolproof--you're someone that’s willing to rehab properties, or someone who isn't.
If you don’t have experience with property renovation, I’m not going to sentence you to a carpentry apprenticeship, but one will certainly have the advantage when it's time to find the right place. And the reason is that in a market like this, there are few homes from which to choose, so not all properties are going to meet your needs. This means that you either have to compromise, or make the property into the one that makes sense for you.
If you're the type that could never imagine doing a home renovation, or even hiring someone to do it, it's not as scary as you think. Sure, it can get complicated--especially when you take on too much of a project--but if you choose wisely, you could end up making out huge.
We work with lenders and contractors to make it easier to do home renovations, and can help lay out the plan so that it makes sense. Get in touch with us so that you can get more information.
