TWO TRUTHS WE SHOULD ALWAYS KEEP IN MIND ARE THAT TRUE LOVE WAITS, AND IN THE END, IT IS WELL WORTH THE WAIT!
The passage, ‘Drink water from your own cistern’(Proverbs 5:15 NIV), reminds us that, because in Solomon’s day, a well or cistern was considered to be as valuable as gold and clean water was a very precious commodity, what he was really saying is that, we should not be drinking from the polluted waters that come from the sewers of promiscuity, when, if we just wait a little, we could drink from the clean waters that come from the wells of our devoted spouses. In other words, rather than let our springs overflow in the streets and avail our streams of water in the public squares, we should let them be ours alone, never to be shared with strangers. So let the knowledge that: 1) Two truths we should keep in mind are that, true love waits and in the end, it is well worth the wait; 2) The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare them and the cords of their sins holds them fast; and 3) They die for lack of discipline and are easily led astray by their own great folly; teach you, when tempted to go astray by fast-living friends, to remember that your ways are in full view of the Lord Almighty who examines all your paths!FG. www.fgtallks.com
