Years ago, I heard about the icebreaker TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE, never thinking of its relevance to speaking.

It’s a group game in which each person makes three statements about themselves, one of which must be untrue. The group must guess which statements are true and which is a lie. The person with the most correct guesses wins. It’s fun!

Here are my three statements today.
1. When I was 16, I directed a 40-voice choir on national television in Jamaica.
2. I was an extra in 2 movies filmed locally in Macon, GA
3. When I was in high school, I shook hands with Fidel Castro

1 年Excellent suggestion, Mark! I love this game but never thought of it as a tool for speaker stories. I'm on it! I was going to guess #2 but to be honest, my guess doesn't really count since I accidentally saw the answer in your response to Ellen. LOL
