“When we share our knowledge, we give away more than money.? We give away our experience and we cannot put a price on these.? Great leaders never stop teaching because they are self-motivated to learn.? They keep their colleagues well informed, and knowledgeable through statistics, trends and other newsworthy items that pique their curiosity.”
My Top 5 Books Read in 2024:
- Objections, Jeb Blount:? If you are interested in the details of selling and the inevitable objections you will hear this is the book for you.? It explains different types of objections and ways to work with them to make the sale.
- The Alter Ego Effect, Todd Herman: For top athletes, singers and performers a big part of “being in the zone” is having an alter ego to indicate how they want to behave. The author worked with Kobe Bryant on his “Black Mamba” persona.
- Scaling People, Claire Hughes Johnson: Quite literally a textbook on how to manage and lead people, create operating routines, hire, fire, self-awareness and self-development.? It has it all and is written in a very practical style.
- All it Takes is a Goal, Jon Acuff: The point of the book is to explain how to achieve small, medium and big goals (personal and business).? It takes an engaging step by step approach, breaking things down to a very basic level.
- Good Strategy, Bad Strategy, Richard Rumelt: This book explains the elements of strategy, the steps you have to go through to develop an effective one and takes issue with managers who confuse goals (especially financial ones) with strategy.
Amateurs have a goal.? Pros have a process.
