In a small village far away from modern civilization, two men were given the task to fetch water for their people.?
The first one did exactly as he was told…
Grabbed two buckets and started his walk down to the distant river.?
The second however, grabbed a shovel and started digging.?
People were confused…
Days had passed and he hadn’t come anywhere near hitting his water quota…
In fact, his “weird” digging didn’t produce a single drop of water…?
But the man didn’t stop.
Completely ignoring everyone, minding his own business, slowly digging into the ground in silence all day.?
Eventually, the village began to run low on water.
People were getting thirsty, and started getting angry with the man for not doing his job…
The pressure began to build and people started threatening to banish him from the village if he didn't do as he was told.?
In fact, they swore to speak ill of him and spread the word so no other village would ever welcome him.
But the man kept digging and asked for just a little more time…
He worked extremely hard for 2 days and 2 nights in a row and the next morning, he revealed his creation.?
Turns out the man had been digging a canal to redirect the river…
…and installed improvised taps in front of every home.?
From then on, no one ever had to walk to the river to fetch water again.?
This, my Rebel friends, is the power of creative thinking.?
The power of thinking beyond the transaction.?
You know what it took to make my first $20k commission in B2B sales?
It took years of being obliterated by the industry, years of facing endless rejection, negativity, and doubt.?
I wasn’t given any hand-outs or existing accounts to help me on my quest…
I had to dig my own hole, by myself.
Which is why I committed myself to excellence through a creative approach to sales.
Think about the village and their way of providing water for their people.?
It has always been the same: Assign two people to do it and give them a quota to hit.?
No questions asked, no real support given.?
But one man was willing to be creative, think outside the box, and was audacious enough to believe in his cause and achieve a Legendary outcome for his village.?
And this is all it took to bring change.?
It took willingness, belief, and perseverance of a single man.?
This is how the Rebels do it.?
We include creativity in our walk and we’re willing to persevere through all of the sh*t that is inevitably coming because of it.?
May this serve as a reminder to you...
Stay the course, Rebel.
You will be rewarded.

4 个月What a wonderful narrative. Yes, commitment to yourself is essential element for achieving your target and success. Plus, the clarity in your mind what you're doing? In Corporate arena, you can make your way, if you know the pain points of any particular industry. That leads to Research, not only Research, you've to dive yourself in other metrics, like compliance factors, profit margins, the size of the business small, medium and big. The sales recipe, for every size and nature of the business varies. They're other factors, societal and cultural. You may critique the above narrative, and can say: ' we're not doing thesis for getting a doctorate degree.' Yes, you're right, but it's an established fact the more your efforts, you'll outperform your competitors. It's all about pitching angle. That counts most, if address their pain points having a deeper understanding, why not you're the most sought after person, in town, for the corporate leaders, as you're showing the way-how to maximize their sales. Nobody, shares their weakness and shortfalls, because of confidential secrecy, and fear of losing business. So, again the burden of digging the canal is your task, no matter how strenuous and nerve-wracking it is.
