Recently, a dual-material powder spraying device and a multi-function robot were successfully tested in the electric furnace workshop of the Special Steel Division, which has improved the automation level of the production line and further reduced the labor intensity of employees.
It is understood that the powder spraying device adds deoxidizer and carburizer into the furnace to improve the quality of molten steel. It was originally designed as a dual-point single-material powder spraying mode.
If you want to complete intelligent steelmaking on the refining platform, you must first free up the operator's hands. To this end, the electric furnace workshop convened production backbones to conduct discussions, and based on the current situation of the refining furnace equipment and the capabilities of the refining team members, decided to add a material powder spraying device and a multi-functional robot.

At the equipment installation site, the refining team members cooperated with the software personnel to test the equipment operating procedures throughout the process, and reported the test results in a timely manner. Regarding the powder spraying situation of a single material, the workshop team members and production backbones conducted on-site research, produced special devices for the equipment, and combined the existing equipment with the transformation The subsequent instructions were verified item by item, and dual-material powder spraying was finally achieved.
Nowadays, when walking into the 100-ton electric furnace production line, I saw the steelmaker pressing the temperature measurement button, and the multi-functional temperature measurement robot stretched its body flexibly, and its long arms easily reached into the furnace to perform operations, with free and smooth movements. Since having it, the entire temperature measurement process only takes more than ten seconds, and sampling operations can also be carried out.
Robots can replace manual work and reduce the labor intensity of employees, while also greatly improving the smelting operation rate and safety level of the refining furnace.
