Two Major Leaps Forward for ReliaQuest

Our mission to equip CISOs and security teams with more visibility and control over their security models took a big step forward last week with not one but two exciting announcements. The first is that we have joined forces with Austin-based Threatcare. This acquisition will improve protection for our enterprise customers by increasing the quality and efficacy of automated detection and response capabilities. The addition of Threatcare’s technology to our GreyMatter platform will also enable CISOs to improve visibility over their cybersecurity tech stacks and increase control over outcomes through real-time insights and actionable responses. I’m thrilled to welcome Threatcare’s CEO and founder, Marcus J. Carey, to our Office of the CTO. Marcus is renowned in the industry and has spent 20 years working in penetration testing, incident response, and digital forensics with federal agencies such as NSA, DC3, DIA, and DARPA. He will lead our efforts to understand and anticipate the latest attack techniques, methods, and tools.

Meanwhile, our GreyMatter platform has been recognized as the winner of the 2019 Cybersecurity Breakthrough Award for “Security Automation Solution of the Year.” We created GreyMatter to help enterprises access real-time insights and drive coordinated response to improve the power of their security posture. We are honored that it has earned this recognition after its official launch just a few short months ago.  

This exciting momentum is a testament to the hard work of our dedicated team who I have the privilege of working with each day. I’ve always said that security is a team sport. The addition of talented minds and new ideas from Threatcare will make our team even stronger, and the good news will keep coming.
