Two major events and a recap ??
Hi friends,
We are sending this issue four days after the unprecedented Iranian attack on Israel, marking yet another unimaginable twist in the surreal road we’ve been on since October 7th. Amid this ongoing heartbreak and uncertainty, we are doing the only thing we can: moving forward.
In fact, this newsletter will be longer than usual as we share the hope we have found in the simple act of doing. And this goes well beyond Symbol - a bias for action has been a key part of the resilience of Israeli society and the Israeli tech ecosystem, and we are proud to be part of both.
Wishing you all a meaningful Passover as we continue to pray for the fast return of our hostages, and for a better future to everyone caught in the tragic vortex of the past six months.

‘Off the spotlight’ exploration workshop
As a founder, how do you identify big market problems that are ‘off the spotlight’ (especially given each of us has a different spotlight)? And how can you build enough conviction to pursue them?
We had long waitlists for our previous exploration/ideation/validation workshops, so we are happy to hold a larger one at Startup for Startup (Monday.com). ?

Apply to speak at Buildcon
On June 20 we'll be throwing Buildcon - the first tech conference dedicated entirely to builders - founders, early employees in various roles, executives and founder-curious operators - as they make their journey from Zero to One. We’ll share more details soon, but for now, we are CALLING OUT FOR SPEAKERS. Early employees in all domains and founders with a story to tell about the art of building before product market fit are welcome to apply.
ideas.rip launch recap
We recently launched the ideas.rip platform, in a festive event featuring a founders panel about the mental aspects of ideation and validation, which are often left untold. The panelists discussed topics like personal runway, coping with imposter syndrome, recovering after aborting an idea you fell in love with, the difference between validating as a first-timer vs. as a second-timer (it’s not what we thought…) and more.
