THE TWO GREAT LIGHTS

"Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also".Genesis 1:16
In your life journey, you are going to have both days and nights.
The day represents times when everything is clear and working out for you as planned. These are seasons of great opportunities, peace and tremendous energy to tap into them. Simply put, your day times are those times that everything all falls in places for your good.
But nights will come as well. These are when your energy will fail you. It also represents a period of confusion, fear and uncertainty. This is when the people you love and cherish will hurt you and turn their backs on you. In a nutshell, the 'nights' stands for those periods when everything is just working against you.
But the good news is, whether it's the day or the night, God has thought about it beforehand and has made provisions for it. There's a light that rules that day, and there's another that rules the night. Hallelujah!
There are three lessons I want us to draw from here.
Isn't this instructive? Your capacity to navigate your night times depends on what you did with your day. When you had those opportunities, vigours, resources, a network of wonderful people, and time, all at your disposal, what did you do with them? Were they wasted on frivolities or they were channelled to good use?
Friend, sorrow may (probability) last for the night, but Joy comes in the morning (certainty). Even at night, please don't be in the dark, build enough capacity while it is yet day, for night cometh when no man can work.
Do you have a great weekend!
