What you see has the power to suck you in. Vision has been explained (roughly) as an association of memories of familiar experiences and objects portrayed on the landscape of your mind, then interpreted into what you are 'seeing'. These associations can be pleasurable or revolting and any combination in between. This emotional association can be a major distraction and can prevent competitors, surgeons, business people essentially anyone from being productive and giving/doing their best. This is why when I free dive, or before fighters go into the ring, or give a speech or award winning performance, performers of all kinds close their eyes and focus on .....nothing. Yeah..... nothing. Not winning or losing or looking foolish, just letting go expectations and embracing the unknown.....

One of the key advantages of practising deep mediation is that you can lose a sense of awareness -of time, of body and of thoughts. When you cease to be aware of your physical existence, your ego has released its grip on your mind; 'you' disappear and become nothing. In this state you can experience a sense of peace, enlightenment or un-attachment. I see this an opportunity to tap into my subconscious mind and achieve spiritual freedom. Your subconscious is where your Truth is, And where the stories that hold you back from that Truth also lie(down) --- Connecting to your spirit is a connection that is free from ego, lies and self limiting beliefs. Your spirit is pure energy released into the ether, looking to connect with a wider, identical force within this universe. It's creation, (sperm-egg, spark-fire). In other words it's you discovering what you were born to do and connection with others who are discovering the same. What would be possible for you from there ?
