Two Factors to Reducing Fear

Fear is a motivator to some people. They’re able to take whatever fear they have in their lives and use it to push themselves forward. It’s an obstacle for them to overcome rather than a barrier holding them back.
But for others, fear is a paralysing force that keeps them static. The fear is so encompassing that the very idea of making a change terrifies them.
Perhaps you find yourself in the second camp. You know you need to make a change. Maybe the patterns you have in your life right now aren’t helping you. You may not be building wealth and you’re certainly not creating freedom in your life.
Sometimes, your fear of change feels stronger than your fear of the life you’ll create if you stay static.
There are two elements you need to do to finally take action:
- An education
- A strategic plan
Why are these two things so important?
When you’re educated, you’re able to understand the obstacles you need to overcome. You’re no longer dealing with the unknown, which means your fear holds less power.
With your plan, you have a set of steps you can take to create change. You no longer have this vague ambition to improve your life. You know what you want to achieve and what you need to do to get there.
Together, these two elements create something very important – certainty. That certainty breaks through the fear of the unknown that’s holding you back. And as you start going forward, you’ll learn more and refine your strategic plan. That means you create even more certainty, which reduces your fear even more.
Your goal now is to create those two elements so fear can no longer keep you static.
