Two exemplary actions by Linxens Tianjin that embody our commitment to better life!
Linxens contributes to the improvement of life through all kinds of small actions that can lead to extraordinary results.
In Linxens Tianjin, as part of the "Communities" pillar our "Vitality" program, local teams took part in actions that can start with a simple act of mutual aid and bring much comfort.
Tackling loneliness among the elderly
Just before the Mid-Autumn Festival on September 15, Linxens employees Frank Liang, Qiong Jia and Helen Liu visited the Tianjin Jianyang Retirement Home, the only private non-profit social retirement home in the Binhai New Area (a district of Tianjin where our factory is located).
The home offers medical care, recreation and social exchange to the elderly, some of whom have no family to visit them and/or are dependent on public funds. Linxens employees came to offer rice, noodles, cooking oil, milk and fruit, and spent time with the residents to relieve their loneliness as the reunion festival approached. The motto of the "Vitality Communities" pillar, "Taking care of our communities", couldn't be better illustrated.
Combating marine pollution by cleaning up beaches
The third weekend in September sees the annual "Clean Up the Earth Day" day. The problem of marine pollution is becoming increasingly serious, and Linxens China employees have decided to tackle it, on their own scale.
"Tianjin, the city where we live and work, is also a coastal city, which gives us a sense of responsibility and emergency," said Helen Liu, Ambassador for Vitality Communities in China.
After a call to action, 14 employees volunteered to take part in beach clean-up public interest activities. On the beach, they found a lot of non-degradable plastic waste of various sizes. The event not only benefited the environment and local communities, but also made participants aware of the seriousness of the marine pollution problem.
